Export transactions sorted by category then date
For all types of reports, be able to:
- Export expenses or transactions with selected categories
- Export itemized expenses grouped by category (i.e., sort by category) - see expenses in a report or summary, not each category by itself but all categories together (i.e., select all categories).
Currently, the workaround for reports by category is to create a report in the "Reports" tab > tap the "Transactions" tab > tap the category filter (under the search bar) to filter expenses by category > tap the month (above the expenses) to bulk select them > tap "Actions" (bottom right) > "Add to report". Or export a CSV of expenses and sort them by category.

Group by category. Then sort by date. Categories should subtotal.

Sorting expenses by category reduces accountant costs as they need to go through All transactions and put expenses into categories for tax claiming purposes. Therefore this is required once a year for them but monthly for our regular monthly GST tax returns.

Yes, need option to produce a report by category for monthly tax returns and end of year to prevent paying our accountant to pull out each expense by category for claim depreciation of asset purchases separately to other taxable losses on repairs and maintenance etc etc. thanks

Upvote. Or be able to rearrange the order of reports in the Reports tab. Whether it be custom order, alphabetically or numerically.
